Community Opioid Epidemic

Cases have been filed on behalf of New York counties: Broome, Erie, and Suffolk, whose communities have been severely impacted by the opioid epidemic. The complaints seek relief including compensatory and punitive damages for the millions of dollars the counties spend each year to combat the epidemic caused by opioid manufacturers.

Counties, municipalities and other community groups like unions may be eligible to file an opioid lawsuit if they are facing an opioid epidemic and the costs associated with pharmaceutical companies’ fraudulent marketing of prescription opioids.
